T-Ball

Doesn't she look like a pro! I think I am having more fun watching than she is. She seems to really like it and always looks forward to practice!

The Team! Of course uniforms are Pink....and thier name is the Ponies....I just thought that was wierd. Lauren of course voted for Yellow shirts and to be the Diamonds! We have a lot of parent support and help with coaching and we are having lots of fun!!!!

Ty's First Crash

Ty crashed on his scooter going down the hill....of course while Grandma was visiting and scared everyone. He was a tuff guy though...a few tears and watching Monster Trucks and it was all over!

He was right back out roughing around!

This One is for my Grandma Lucy!!!

so...did you know that you can not find finger steaks ANYWHERE in Washington or Oregon. In fact I think you can only find them in Idaho. If you ever mention finger steaks, people look at you oddly and ask what they are? So I decided to make my own last night. This is not for the "heart healthy" but it sure was good. So there was some pressure to make these really good since I have bragged about how good they are and that my Grandma Lucy would make them all the time for me, with home made french fries. I tried to remember what she put in her fingersteak batter, but seems she just threw different things in, never measured. So not wanting to fail...I googled finger steaks and low and behold....this is the first thing that pops up! See I told you they only made them in Idaho.... I didnt follow the recipe, I just wanted to see the basic ingredients. The recipe said to refrigerate and freeze....who has time for that!
So we cut up the meat and mixed it all up in the secret batter...note: the meat we used was tenderloin and we got it at some rediculous cheap price....the best meat for making finger steaks i have decided.
I made a few home made fries to go along with the finger steakes....and notice the "special sauce" in the back...have to have that too.
And the finished product...SUPER DELICIOUS!!!! I have to say...they were the BEST I have ever had. I think it was the meat, cause it was so tender. I forgot to add a picture of them frying...we used the big FRY DADDDY...got it for our wedding...first time we have ever used it...came in handy though!
So not a meal you want to consume all the time....but it was a fun night of preparing and cooking something different. Took me back to my days spent at my Grandma's house...we would do yard work and such all day and then she would make a big batch of fingersteaks and fries...

JJ Jump Birthday Party

Ty with his monster truck cake!
Super easy cake to make...and the rock candies I found at Winco...they were tasty.
One of the birthday outfits he got...shorts and a "Big Guy" t-shirt. Grandpa Bruce calls him Big Guy and Ty thinks it is funny and refers to himself as the Big Guy.
The only great picture I got of the JJ Jump Facility we were at. I need to learn how to use my camera better. Everything was blurry. I wish I could learn in my sleep...that seems to be about the only time I have for "more" stuff right now...but that is a goal...better picture taking!
Ty helped make his cake...well he made sure it tasted alright! I caught him dipping the beaters in for another lick....I can say that now that the cake is gone! ha.

Ty's 3rd Birthday

Ty's request for his birthday dinner....Hamburger Helper (speaks volumes for my culinary skills)
We had dinner with just us on his birthday and saved his party for the next night with friends
Monster Mutt was his first present he opened...since he is now a Monster Truck Groupie!
Lauren made him a very special card which she presented to him and read to him. Then put it in a special place in his room for him to keep. She is a good big sister.
New birthday outfit! Shorts...of course and a monster truck jacket!!!
More pics will follow...Since I am blog challenged I can only load a few at a time...so stay tuned

Monster Trucks

Grave Digger by far the favorite Moster Truck in this family
Ty loves pop corn and informed us he needed some while watching the monster trucks!

Lauren loved the show too...even though she missed her friends b-day party

There is just something about moster trucks that every family should go to. Ty was for sure the most excited for this. Even wore his new cowboy belt to the big event. He made sure that we brought his "plug ears" and that he needed popcorn to watch. I have to admit it was pretty fun. Something about loud engines and knuckleheads that just makes one smile. It is fun to watch the people in the crowd. You know there are die hard monster truck followers and they are truly passionate about thier favorite driver. Tommy and Ty go to deliver fuel to one of the trucks the day before the event and it was great for Ty. The guys were really nice and let Ty sit in the truck and fed him donuts....who couldnt love that! When he left he simply told the guys Thanks and to Haul Ass!
